An FIR was registered against a former BJP MLA and a dismissed policeman. The two men allegedly gang-raped a 22-year-old married woman at knifepoint.
The victim approached the MLA for help with a domestic dispute, which led to the incident. She was taken to a farmhouse and assaulted after being forced to consume alcohol.
Police are investigating the case and have registered charges including gang rape and criminal intimidation.
