Exiled writer Taslima Nasreen returned to Kolkata after nearly two decades. She described her visit as an emotional homecoming to her own country.
Nasreen is scheduled to attend a public program in the city on August 1. This marks her first public appearance in Kolkata since 2007.
Protests over her memoir "Dwikhandito" had forced her departure then.
