Novelist MacKenzie Scott returns to fiction writing after a thirteen-year hiatus. She will serially release an eighty-thousand-word novel throughout the month of August.

Scott studied creative writing under Nobel laureate Toni Morrison at Princeton University. She has given away over twenty-six billion dollars to numerous charitable organizations.

Her recent donation of twenty million dollars supports mental health initiatives.
